“You visited our school about a month or so ago to perform for our high schoolers your play TO BE HONEST. It was fantastic. I think you did a great job of embedding some issues, ideas and statistics within your performance that provided a different cyberbullying session that our students are normally used to. You also provided some pretty eye-opening issues that many of our students, and faculty, never thought of (i.e. the huge issue of cyberbullying within relationships).

I truly appreciated your performance and your passion to use your talents and art to teach.

Thank you,

“THE SCRIPT engaged students with its unique format and kept them engaged throughout the entire time. Students were able to connect to the characters and see similarities within themselves or friends. A truly impactful experience for all. We even had students stay behind to thank Tim for his amazing performance. We will be bringing Tim back!”

Just completed a really rewarding and interesting training for students with professor Julie Bertram and awesome Nursing faculty at University of Missouri-St. Louis. Kind comments from Brittania Rene, UMSL Nursing professor:

“I had the privilege of working with Tim Collins Solo Performer and a great group of faculty and PhD students over the last 2 days. They acted as standardized patients during a mental health nursing simulation experience. I love watching my students grow and develop- and I could not have done it without these wonderful people!”

“Tim Collins’ performance of THE SCRIPT was engaging, relatable, and unlike any other performance our students have seen before. It really hit at the heart of many important topics such as toxic masculinity, affirmative consent, and healthy relationships in a new and engaging way. It started many important conversations through a new lens which will be something everyone can take away something from.

The workshops Tim did for both students and employees pushed the participants to think about their own communication styles and easy tips for improvement. Every participant walked away with a stronger awareness of themselves and a greater potential for the future. It was a useful transition into having difficult conversations with others and how to take care of yourself and support the person who is talking to you.

Both THE SCRIPT and the workshops provided our campus with a strong basis for improved communication and understanding of maneuvering through difficult spaces in today’s world.”

May 9th, 2019: Kind words from Community Action Partnership of Madison County:

“Last Thursday, with help from Madison County, New York and BRiDGES Madison County Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Inc., CAP hosted renowned performer Tim Collins for his “Speaking Up, Speaking Out” one-man show.

Through his engaging, interactive show, Tim told a story of cyberbullying and what to do if you or a friend is being bullied. The children were very receptive to Tim’s message of “Speaking Up” to a trusted adult if they see something they know is wrong.

A special thank you to the Canastota VFW for letting us use their space.”

April 11th, 2019: A BIG Otto Shortell THANK YOU to Tim Collins Solo Performer for performing ‘STANDING BY, STANDING UP’ and teaching us how to avoid bullies, become an empowered bystander, and how to work to prevent bullying and cyberbullying in and out of school. #middleschoolcounts
